Join Staffordshire Poet Laureate Dawn Jutton on World Art Day with two workshops to explore the world of poetry and photography inspired by objects which illuminate Wedgwood and Stoke-on-Trent's industrial heritage.
Both workshops are designed for ages 14+. No experience is needed, just come along and have fun!
Workshop Details
Workshop One - Poetry and Writing

Using Wedgwood as the backdrop to your creative outlook, let Staffordshire's own Poet Laureate Dawn Jutton help you establish a poem or writing and teach the basic forms of prose.
Workshop Two - Photography Skills
Date: Sunday 14th April
1-2pm | Ticket Price: £15pp
Learn simple techniques for studio photography and explore space and light with objects from the Wedgwood Factory, showcasing the industrial heritage of Stoke-on-Trent. In the 1980s Dawn worked for, what was the Wedgwood Museum and will share knowledge on how to capture these objects of our history.
This workshop requires the participant to bring a digital camera or phone to use during the session.
About the Artist
Dawn Jutton is a multi-faceted multi-skilled visual artist who brings her background in studio photography to explore space and light as though it were a stage for something to happen. She has an eclectic approach to media and ranges across photography, words and site-responsive works. She enjoys collaborating with other artists and poets.
Dawn is also an experienced socially engaged photographic practitioner and workshop facilitator, designing and delivering bespoke projects with a diverse range of clients and communities.
