Q: What are your opening hours?

A: 10am-5pm Wednesday to Sunday. All year round. 

Q: What is the V&A Wedgwood Collection?

A: Formerly known as the Wedgwood Museum and renamed as the V&A Wedgwood Collection following a major public appeal led by the Art Fund, The Wedgwood Collection was saved for the nation and gifted to the V&A Museum in 2014. It is still on display here in Barlaston and is free entry. The collection comprises of over 80,000 works of art, ceramics, manuscripts and photographs.

Q: Is World of Wedgwood accessible to wheelchair users?

A: Yes. Walkways are flat and we have ramps and lifts to higher floors. There are various seating areas for rest breaks for those with limited mobility.

Q: Are dogs allowed?

A: Dogs are allowed in the courtyard, our main atrium, Josiah & Co and Factory Outlet. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the V&A Wedgwood Collection, on a Factory Tour, or into the Wedgwood Store, Tea Room and Creative Studios unless they are assistance dogs. There are water bowls for dogs located around the courtyard.

Q: Do you have allocated parking for blue badge holders?

A: Yes we have eight spaces designated for Blue Badge holders, which are clearly marked and are located at the closest point to the buildings on site.

Q: Is there somewhere to park at World of Wedgwood?

A: We have ample free parking here and there is no time limit for how long visitors can park.

Q: Are there any restrictions on access to your car park?

A: If accessing World of Wedgwood from Barlaston Old Road, height and weight limits apply on the canal bridge. The maximum height is 2.3m and the maximum weight is 5T mgw. It is also a single lane bridge.

Q: Do I have to book?

A: You must book a factory tour and any creative activities in advance. It is recommended that you also book the Tea Room in advance to avoid disappointment. Booking is not necessary for the V&A Wedgwood Collection and is free entry. You can also enter the site without booking, with access to all of our shops.

Q: Do you offer any accessibility aids?

A: We have a number of wheelchairs on site which are complimentary. You can book these in advance by calling us on 01782 282986 or alternatively ask at reception on the day of your visit.

Q: Do you have toilet facilities and baby changing facilities on site?

A: Yes

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: Card and Apple Pay, G-Pay are accepted methods of payment throughout World of Wedgwood. The Wedgwood Tea Room also accepts cash payments. For groups of 12 people or more, we accept company or group cheques. For more information about payment methods, please contact [email protected]
