Meet master mould maker Mark Marchant and apprentice ceramic artist Livvy Azzopardi for a day of inspiring talks, hands-on sprig mould-making workshops and Q&A sessions exploring creative careers and the future of Stoke-on-Trent's ceramics industry.
With over 30 years' experience in the pottery industry, Mark Marchant has worked with leading artists and manufacturers including Grayson Perry, Burleigh Pottery and Portmeirion. Many of his moulds, models and decorative pieces are now preserved within the V&A Wedgwood Collection archives.
Joining him is Livvy Azzopardi, an emerging multidisciplinary artist whose work explores heritage, climate change and material culture through clay. Together, Mark and Livvy will offer a unique insight into learning a skilled craft, building a creative career and carrying Stoke-on-Trent's rich ceramic traditions into the future.
