There are lots for families to see and do at World of Wedgwood.
Younger visitors can become Museum explorers for the day as they discover interesting treasures in the galleries and experience stories about the history of Wedgwood. Our Pottery Spotters Museum Trail is free for every child with a prize for every completed activity sheet, ask for yours at reception.
Museum entry is free for everyone every day and the Factory Tour, which runs Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm, is free for under 12s.
Get creative with pottery painting and ceramic design in the Decorating Studio and learn how to throw a pot on the potter's wheel in our Master Craft Studio. The courtyard area offers a relaxing, enjoyable space to enjoy in fine weather and features an RHS Gold Medal winning garden and giant interactive pottery themed willow installations, designed by artist Tom Hare. Your children can run through a giant coffee pot, relax underneath a tea cup or even rope swing from a tea saucer!
Adjacent to World of Wedgwood are Hem Heath Woods and nature trail, publicly accessible and managed by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, you can explore this beautiful woodland at your leisure.
In the school holidays we have themed Create and Explore activities as well as special events throughout the year. Visit our events pages for the latest updates.
PLEASE NOTE
We changed the Indoor Play area to make a Creative Classroom in Spring 2018, following the increase in educational visits and to give a dedicated children’s creative space for pottery painting at weekends and in the school holidays. We are sorry for any disappointment this may cause and hope that you will continue to visit us to enjoy our activities and special events.
