Resonance Exhibition

The Wedgwood Museum at World of Wedgwood hosted Resonance – an exhibition of First World War objects, documents and archives, which forms part of the national commemoration of the centenary of the First World War – from 1st March until the 30th April 2016.

The exhibition has been developed by the Staffordshire Museums Consortium with funding from Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts fund. Resonance features new ceramic work by Stephen Dixon and complimentary photography and film by John Magee alongside objects and documents from museum and archive collections across Staffordshire. All of the works in the exhibition combine to consider ways in which the Great War affected the Staffordshire home front and examine themes of absence, loss, heroism and humanity.
