What is your name?
Richard Allen.

What do you do?
I’m the Executive Chef at World of Wedgwood.

What do you like most about your job?
Creativity and sharing my passion and knowledge with the next generation of chefs.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
It’s got to be a long walk with a stop at the pub with my best mate – Dougal, the corgi/Jack Russell cross.

Who inspires you?
Ted Llewellyn, my Grandpa “God bless ya Gramps”.

Give an interesting fact about yourself
The Friend’s actress Helen Baxendale’s mum taught me cookery at school.

What is the best concert you have been to?
I’ve seen a few iconic bands over the years but James are probably the best I’ve ever seen. Pardon the pun!

Where’s your favourite place in the world?
Mellington Hall in Montgomery, my family had a caravan there when I was a child.  It’s my go to place when I need to gather my thoughts.

At which shop would you like to max-out your credit card?
I did last year in AEG whilst renovating my kitchen at home.

What was your favourite TV programme when you were growing up?
The Six Million Dollar Man and Starsky and Hutch.

What would your specialist subject be if you were on Mastermind?
The complete works of Shakespeare.  Who am I kidding!!!!! Food and drink of course.
