Learning at World of Wedgwood
World of Wedgwood is a perfect learning experience with over 250 years of heritage and craftsmanship to explore. Educational visits feature guided tours of the UNESCO recognised V&A museum collection, award-winning factory tour and creative activity studios.
The Wedgwood education programme has cross-curricular learning, from expressive arts to science and technologies along with social and industrial history, and provides an interactive experience guided by our dedicated educational team.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS (KS1-2)
Introduction Session (30 minutes)
A presentation giving a general introduction to Wedgwood to set the group up ready for their day of learning. This session can be tailored to your school’s learning programme.
Museum Tour (45 minutes) Focusing on the 18th Century, learning about the importance of Josiah Wedgwood as a significant historical figure in the Potteries.
Factory Tour (45 minutes) Pupils are guided through the factory to see how modern-day Wedgwood is made.

SECONDARY SCHOOLS (KS3-4)
Introduction Session (30 minutes) An interactive session about the potteries, viewing imagery of Wedgwood past and present and outlining the learning goals during the visit to World of Wedgwood. This session can be tailored to your schools learning programme e.g. industrial revolution, local area, canals and transport.
Museum Tour (60 minutes) Pupils are taken through an in-depth tour of the museum, encompassing 250 years of Wedgwood’s history.
Factory Tour (60 minutes) Pupils are guided through the Factory to see how modern-day Wedgwood is made.
