Dougie Mac 5k Run/Walk
The Douglas Macmillan Hospice cares for adults with a palliative or end of life diagnosis across North Staffordshire. When someone hears the devastating news that they have a terminal illness, life as they know changes forever. The Douglas Macmillan Hospice provides care and support free of charge, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
On Sunday 17th April, staff members from Wedgwood UK and World of Wedgwood took part in a 5K run/walk to help raise money for terminally ill patients living in North Staffordshire. The Wedgwood Estate has a great relationship with the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, and we’ve been hosting the Dougie Mac 5K annually, for 9 years.
Team Wedgwood consisted of ten team members; Sue, Martyn, Julie, Sammi, Jen, Hannah, Heather, Scarlett, Jon and Allan. In total, Team Wedgwood raised funds over £850… that is £700 more than the original goal of £150. Congratulations Team Wedgwood!
