Christmas at World of Wedgwood

During December 2015, we hosted an array of exciting festive activities to create the perfect build up to Christmas for our visitors of all ages.

Children were able to send a special message to Father Christmas by making paper teacup and teapot decorations in the Decorating Studio, and created their very own Snow Crystal Christmas Wishes. These were then hung on the World of Wedgwood’s magical indoor willow tree ready for Father Christmas’s elves to collect.

In addition we also tailored a special 12 Clays of Christmas treasure trail in the award-winning Wedgwood Museum, where our younger visitors were challenged to hunt out carefully hidden Christmas themed items within our extensive collections.

As well as our crafty children’s activities, we also offered a free festive tea and mulled wine tasting session for the grown up’s, with a complimentary hand made mince pie in the Wedgwood Tea Emporium. Next door, in the Wedgwood Tea Room, our Chefs created a bespoke festive afternoon tea menu, featuring turkey and cranberry sauce finger sandwiches and other delicious Christmas flavours. Additionally, the Dining Hall offered a three course Christmas lunch menu, which was available throughout December.

The World of Wedgwood Flagship Store made sure that Christmas shopping would be a breeze for our visitors by holding a pre-Christmas ‘12 Days of Christmas’ sale offering twelve different discounts on twelve of the most popular gifting collections in store.
