Heritage Open Days | Wedgwood Walks

POSTPONED

Tuesday 15 September | Sunday 20 September 2020

10am – 12pm | Free of charge

This year’s HOD theme is “Hidden Nature” so it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and embrace what’s on our doorstep!

The Wedgwood Estate and the village of Barlaston are steeped in history and heritage so our expert tour guides have created a walk that will benefit both mind and body – just what we need right now.

The Wedgwood family has been an influential part of Barlaston for many years and our guides can tell a tale or two that many won’t have heard before.

The walk starts from Josiah Wedgwood’s statue at World of Wedgwood taking a circular route via Queen Mary’s Drive up to Barlaston Hall, through Barlaston village by the Duke of York pub, Barlaston Village Green, the Plume of Feathers and back along the picturesque canal to World of Wedgwood. Discover new things from Saxon burials, unsung heroes, the odd surprise, and some rich heritage along the way.
